Note: This article applies to TX DWA (older) version only.

In some situations, you might need to have both the 32-bit and the 64-bit version of TX DWA installed at the same time. For instance, you might have an 32-bit ODBC data source for one project and a 64-bit data source for another project. Since the bit-versions of data sources need to match the bit-version of TX DWA, you will need both bit-versions of TX DWA. Installing both versions of TX DWA should not cause issues, but there are a few things you should be aware of with regards to scheduling:

• If you use the TX Scheduler, you should use different repositories for the two bitversions. Else a project might be executed by the wrong bit-version of TX. Both schedulers will try to execute the same project(s) and there is no way of knowing which scheduler "wins".
• If you use another scheduler, e.g. the Windows Task Scheduler, you can use the same repository for both bitversions of TX. Simply execute the project by calling timextender.exe in the proper bitversion with the project name and execution package name as parameters.
