When you perform a manual execution in TimeXtender, the the default setting is to execute all items in one thread, without managed execution, and without logging either row counts or execution times.  In most cases, it's preferable to use managed execution, multiple threads, and to log both execution time and row counts.  This can provide much faster execution and provides more data for later analysis.  

The best settings will vary from system to system, and will generally require some experimentation to optimize.

You can configure these settings and others for your manual execution by creating a default execution package.  You can identify this package because the package name will end in "- Default Package".

New versions of TimeXtender create a default execution package automatically when you create a new project. Projects that were created in older versions of versions of TimeXtender may not include a default package. 

How to create a default execution package

1. On the execution pane, right-click on Execution Packages and select Add Execution Package.
2. Give the new package helpful name, like Default.
3. It is very important that you keep Include Steps empty. Otherwise it will execute those steps every time you manually execute anything in that project.
4. Set Managed Execution to either Execution Number or Execution Time.
5. Change the amount of Max. Threads. A common starting point is 4 threads.
6. Press OK.

How to designate a default package

1. Find the package you just created, or would like to make default in the execution package overview.
2. Right-click on the package and select Set as Default Execution Package.
3. Save the project.

Now when you execute a table, database, or your entire project by hand, it will use the settings you have specified.
