Symptoms:

Testing the connection to a new Oracle data source connection results in an error message.

Error Message:

Could not load file or assembly 'Oracle.DataAccess, Version 4.112.2.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=<Public Key>'.  This assembly was compiled for a different processor.

Underlying problem:

The cause of the error is a mix up of x86 and x64 architecture - if the application is x86 (32 bit), then it cannot use x64 (64 bit) assemblies and vice-versa. 

Solution:

Ensure that Oracle Data Provider is the same bit version as your TimeXtender software.
