Symptoms

With an Oracle database as a data source, you get an error like the following while deploying:

Error creating DTS package for Oracle_AD_USER
Unable to validate the structure of the SSIS package. Oracle_AD_USER
SSIS Package: Oracle_AD_USER
Column "CONNECTIONPROFILE" cannot convert between unicode and non-unicode string data types.

Cause

There is a problem with the Unicode conversion.

Resolution

Change the Unicode conversion property on the data source in TX to Force-to-Unicode. Remember to synchronize the data source for the changes to have effect.
